D&D:
So what do you think about these people who can't role play right?
TCRP:
I think they're what the "ignore" button is for.
D&D:
I know the feeling since I have been role playing since I was 8 and now that I'm
22 i feel like everyone that role plays in the IM's and chatrooms don't know
what they are doing.
TCRP:
Did you start on D&D?
D&D:
Yes and AD&D
TCRP:
~nods~ I really hate that stupid system.
D&D:
I love the old one.
D&D:
Than I got into Werewolf and Vampire.
TCRP:
~shakes her head~ My GM and I *always* use handcrafted systems. We put our
heads together and it takes us about a week to come up with one, but it's always
worth it.
D&D:
When I come up with a Story line it comes to me in matter of minutes.
D&D:
I have written books from the story lines and role plays. I have a total of 30
books made but not publish.
TCRP:
.....I didn't say story line. I said system.
TCRP:
......You know, dice, character sheets, combat rolls......
D&D:
Rules that you made up?
D&D:
ok
TCRP:
Yes. A system.
TCRP:
Stats and whatnot.
D&D:
When we role played i took out almost all the rules.
TCRP:
You *cannot* run a decent campaign freeform.
TCRP:
Not TT or LARP anyhow.
D&D:
LARP is awesome.
TCRP:
It needs a system.
D&D:
AD&D and D&D have a basic system.
TCRP:
AD&D's syst is not basic, it's overly complicated and stupid. I hate their
stats.
TCRP:
I'm not too fond of their CS either.
D&D:
Without a Character Sheet you don't know where someone is at in items, weapons,
armor, and stats.
TCRP:
CS = Combat System.
TCRP:
And their character sheet really isn't very good either, now that you mention
it.
D&D:
It needs more work.
TCRP:
Yes, you have to *have* a character sheet, but theirs is *way* too dice based.
TCRP:
We always have a Stats Sheet and a Persona Sheet.
D&D:
Good to know and to have.
D&D:
What do you think about the card games like Magic: The Gathering and etc.
D&D:
?
TCRP:
Don't play 'em.
TCRP:
Don't really have any interest in playing 'em.
TCRP:
My GM has probably $5,000 worth of Magic Cards and it just worries me.
D&D:
They are more harder to understand.
TCRP:
"More harder" is incorrect grammar.
TCRP:
And it's really not all that complicated. A few of the gamers I RP with taught
me the basics in an afternoon while they were playing.
D&D:
I have a habit of putting or not putting a word where it should or shouldn't
belong.
TCRP:
Aha.
TCRP:
Well, two comparative words never go together like that.
D&D:
So shoot me since we have people that are using slang and other crap in the
English language.
TCRP:
That's not slang.
D&D:
No one is perfect.
TCRP:
I didn't say anyone has to be.
D&D:
So tell me where do you have your story lines take place and what time period?
TCRP:
It depends. Just pretty much any time any place.
TCRP:
Could you not IM me for a few minutes? I'm trying to get a damned pic to print
and it really doesn't want to.
